Elegant, Amazing Statement Piece
I bought this veil in ivory/gold to wear with a light champagne wedding dress. My dress has soft white lace applique detailing on the bodice and a very plain cathedral train, and I wanted something to help dress it up. This veil is perfect for what I needed. I'd call this shade of ivory more of a soft white than a true ivory - its got very little yellow to it, if any (which was what I wanted). The silver and gold threads are metallic, and it is more silver than gold. The gold thread is a lighter shade of gold, as opposed to an intense sunshine yellow gold. The edge is done in silver. The rhinestones are silver. It also has some tiny clear sequins on the appliques; they give it a little more sparkle without actually being visible themselves. The amount of gold color is enough to warm it up for my dress without overwhelming it. The amount of sparkle is enough to be elegant and feminine without being over-the-top. All in all, it looks amazing with light champagne, and I'd imagine also with light ivory. I'm not sure how it would do with darker shades of champagne and ivory, and I'd probably choose the white/gold color for a stark white dress.
